Corporate Partners Make a Difference on Many Levels

Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) seeks to develop corporate partnerships for mutual benefit. Partnerships are tailored to meet the needs of each participating organization.

The universal issue:

The need for a talented pool of skilled, ethnically diverse employees to rebuild “Main Street.” The world stopped in 2008 – and it was a full stop for the era of excess. Authorities have been extraordinarily aggressive in coming to the rescue of a system in crisis. But as in the case of Humpty Dumpty, they will not be able to put all the pieces back together again. The next era will be very different from the one we have just left behind.

There is no short-term solution. There must be a systematic and collaborative approach in building sustainable communities.

A number of corporate programs exist to attract students to their respective industries, but the talent pool is limited – particularly when recruiting innovative, highly educated employees of color. In addition competition is fierce for top line candidates. Recruitment is one issue; retention is another.

The value proposition:

SEI’s Corporate Partner Program assists corporations and organizations with recruitment and retention of talented employees. Corporations engage students beginning in the fourth quarter of their junior year of high school through the second year of post-secondary education (3 years). Internships, job shadowing, and special projects are conducted primarily during summer academic break. The program investment is $50,000 (annually) which sponsors seven (7) students. The opportunity exists to renew the sponsorship annually.

Specific Opportunities include:

• Student internships, job shadowing, or facilitation of a special company project / program.

• Volunteer opportunities for your employees at a nationally-recognized youth development organization.
