The SEI Post High School Program helps ensure the success
of SEI students in further education and careers.
The program assists current high school students and
graduates with college entrance exam preparations and
applications, continuing education support, career counseling,
and employment preparation.
Many students attending college are the first among
their family to do so and can use the extra support
from SEI. The Post High School Program offers SAT preparation
classes, financial aid workshops, scholarship trainings,
and study tips for success in college. Students away
at school are even sent care packages by SEI during
finals!
The Post High School staff also arrange for career
exposure classes, meetings with prospective employers
and practice in job application and interview skills.
High schools and college students are hired as mentors
to work with younger SEI students in the summer program,
and placed in other summer jobs and professional internships
throughout the Portland community.
