Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) was
founded in 1981 as a one-week basketball camp for high school
boys. 26 years later, we have grown to be one of the most
comprehensive and effective youth development organizations
in the nation, serving over 2300 inner-city young people (ages
8-25) and families annually in year-round academic, enrichment,
and family support programs.
Every day SEI provides children and families with options
and support to help cultivate positive, contributing citizens
and make Portland a better place to live.

SEI has begun a process of strengthening

SEI is dedicated to guiding underserved
youth to realize their full potential. Working with schools,
families and community organizations, SEI provides opportunities
for personal and academic success, bringing hope to individual
young people and enhancing the quality of community life.
