DREAM NO SMALL DREAM

Finding himself in a “make or break” stage of life, 15-year-old Michael was introduced to Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) by a concerned family member. Now an attorney at Tonkon Torp in Portland, Michael recalls this season of his life as being a time of major internal wrestling. 

Having just moved to Portland at the time, Michael struggled to find his bearings and his dream of becoming a lawyer felt like an impossibility. Nonetheless, Michael leaned into the keys to success provided to him by his SEI coordinators at Jefferson High School and began to believe their constant reminders that his big dreams were attainable. Through their intentionality and commitment to cultivating a mindset of success in Michael, he went on to achieve his dream and become an incredible depiction of a person who chooses to believe that Life Has Options. 

“I learned that by behaving and achieving at a level that allows you to have options, you gain control over your life,” Michael says. “It’s not just about positioning yourself; it’s about gaining and maintaining confidence that you can achieve your goals.”
