Invent The Future (BHM 2021)
The goal of SEI’s annual SANKOFA events is to create a bridge between the past and present that brings inspiration to current and future generations. This year’s events aim to utilize the power of storytelling to connect realities and shape perspectives through visual art and commerce.
African American History is American History, a reality that is not always connected within our society. Edmund “Mundo” Holmes and Rashad Floyd’s mural, “Invent the Future” illustrates Black inventors as superheroes. The genius of these individuals has shaped our society and American Culture, and to further tell their story, you will now be able to experience this piece in a unique manner through Augmented Reality.
