SEI Celebrates Black History Month with Multiple Community Events
From Films to Day of Service, Self Enhancement, Inc. is Leading the Way in Educating Our City on African American Culture in Today’s World
Portland, Ore. (Feb. 1, 2019) –Throughout the month of February, Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) is hosting multiple free community events in celebration of Black History Month. Each event will take place, or begin, at The Center for Self Enhancement, 3920 N. Kerby Ave., Portland, Ore.
As the second largest minority-owned business in Oregon, SEI feels a responsibility to continue educating the public on the vibrant African American culture. "At SEI, we seek to honor the incredible contributions of African Americans to our nation’s history and highlight the historical significance it has on our present and future," says Libra Forde, COO of SEI. “These events are all great opportunities to come together as a community and celebrate the richness of our culture.“ SEI also believes that having a clear understanding and grasp on African American history is vital to shaping the future for the young men and women of Portland.
