Anti Domestic and Sexual Violence (ADSV) Program

SEI’s Anti Domestic and Sexual Violence (ADSV) Program offers a 24 week Trauma Recovery & Empowerment Model group (TREM) to women and families suffering from domestic violence in Multnomah County. TREM is designed to facilitate trauma recovery among women with histories of exposure to sexual and physical abuse. Drawing on cognitive restructuring, psychoeducational, and skills-training techniques, the gender-specific 24 session group emphasizes the development of coping skills and social support. The TREM model teaches boundary maintenance, and problem solving in order to effect lasting change in the participants.

In addition ADSV Advocates provide intensive short term family services in a way that is compassionate and effective, and adheres to culturally appropriate best practices and treatment. The ADSV program is funded through the State of Oregon, and partnership with Portland Women’s Crisis Line.
