“Being a part of SEI for so long has been great because of the great community surrounding me and pushing me in the right direction. It’s family mentality has been good for me because during family struggles or any struggles in life, SEI is a place where I can go to escape—even for just a couple of hours—and talk to someone who looks like me and I could just be a kid again.

With the help of SEI, I now realize that I have the potential to be great at whatever I do and have the options to achieve it. I now live by one of SEI’s slogans, “Youth Potential Realized” and will accept nothing less than what I deserve and one day when I’m successful, I will help young black kids realize their potential.”
